Question: What does anyone think about my idea for a slasher film?

A slasher flick set in an after-school time school would be pretty cool. My friend wrote a story sort of like that for his class, and it went over really well.
May I reccomend...
High school, NOT middle school. Most slasher movies at least have 17 year old victims.
The villain has a signature weapon. He can use other stuff, but let him use one thing the most (perhaps something that could be found around schools, like a broken pointy mop?)
Leave the ending open, where the killer is probably dead but could come back.

I like the plot theme for a really good suspense thriller, but not really too "slashery". Make the teenagers as old as possible (17/18). I like the idea about the teacher being the killer. I would make him seem the LEAST likely to do it...maybe he could lead a group into trying to solve the murder etc.

Edit: How about this title: "The Lesson"
